Thanks to Alpinezone I got to ski Kmart this year. I used to hate it but I am reluctant to say now that I like it there. We arrived at 9:00am at the Skyeship base lodge. We quickly geared up and boarded at 9:20am. We first hit Skyelark and headed towards Snowdon. We bypassed Snowdon because of the crowds. We took a few runs over at Rams Head, and headed towards the K1. From the top we headed over to the South Ridge and took a hairt thin covered run down The Jug, before hitting Escape to get out of there. We then headed to Bear Mtn. I hit OT while my buddy though hitting Wildfire would be an easier way down. Too bad it was covered in ice bumps. We then took the Skye Peak Quad up and headed back down to the Skeship base to eat lunch. After lunch we spent some time over in the glades area. we felt good enough to leave at 3:00pm. Overall it was not typical Kmart, clear skies, minimal crowds, and barely any ice.
