| Sunday River 3-13-04 Well, it was better than my best day of work!!!! Actually, some of the skiing was pretty good. There was frozen granular to get started, but after a few runs, it was softened up. Even had a real nice trail all to ourselves for a couple runs til others found out about it. The wind was a howling, and there was a wind hold on many lifts. When they opened up a few, the lines were long. And of course the wind scoured some trails to the scrape and ice... Some picking and chooosing got you some good runs. We had rain last weekend and no snow since, so you knew the conditions were gonna be rough. In any case, we got our fix! I just hope we can get one more good snowfall this season. If we do, I think it will be our fifth snowfall. It's been a tough year for snow this year. But I do have to hand it to the mountains, they are able and willing to do all they can to make it good. Seems the season is coming to an end soon... even drove up in daylight in time for first tracks, which were wind delayed. Sigh.....

| Joshua, your getting out of work for this, right!!! That means it is gonna be good!!! Where are you stying? Oh yeah, watch that on mountain food. I'd rate it cafeteria grade, at best. There was one place, Rosetto's, I think, that I remember as being pretty good. Breakfast at the Snow cap inn was pretty good. Bagels, english muffins, pastries, coffeee, hot chocolate, some cereal, oatmeal... AYCE for $5.00 Say, are you getting the deal of the century there? Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday arrivals get 2 days skiing, a room at the Snowcap inn, access to a hot tub outside, dinner at Rossetto's (I think) and breakfast, all for $99.00. We've taken advantage of it for the last 3 years. In fact, the first time, we had done everything and were winding down in front of the fire in the lodge, real romantic like and I asked my then girlfriend a very important question, and she answered before I could the ring out of my pocket. So, of course, now we have to go back every season.
