| Thanksgiving Day & Night at Carter Notch Hut! When: Thursday, November 23, 2006, meet 9:30, leave 10:00 AM Where: Nineteen Mile Trailhead Route 16, 1 mile North of the Auto Road Green's Grant Township, NH 03581 Description: We'll hike up to the hut, dine, hike, play games, relax, enjoy, and spend the night! This is a potluck lunch, dinner, & breakfast event at the Carter Notch Hut. Bring something to share with our group, e.g., your choice of veggies, stuffings, salads, breads, deserts, libations, etc. We supply the turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, and the most fun anyone can have! Reservations: You may register with the A.M.C. by visiting this link: http://www.outdoors.org/lodging/avai...date/11-23-06/ or reserve by calling 603.466.2727 (Mon-Sat 9-5). Reserve soon to avoid disappointment. Room for the first 40! Notes: Carter Notch Hut is 3.8 miles from the Nineteen Mile Trail head, 1900' elevation gain in a book time of 2 hours 45 minutes. Many arrive at the Hut in 2 hours. The Hut has full kitchen facilities, all cooking equipment, with water. The bunk houses are unheated. A 20 degree sleeping bag or better is required. Post what you'll bring, for carpool info, to ask questions, and find answers. Carter Notch Hut fee: $28.00 per person. $25 p.p. for AMC members.
