I used to be a VT guy, I grew up in Maine and NY, but NH rules both summer and winter......

I vote for VT but would further qualify that to northern VT. MRG, the Bush, Smuggs, Stowe, Burke, Jay.

I disagree with DMC about NH for BC. I would stick to northern VT for BC.

Seeing as how "close" keeps popping up, I went to www.skidweeb.com to refresh my memory of distances. It still figures driving cost with gas at $2.11/gallon.
Those were the days.

I voted NH, because of BC, and proximity.

My favorite NE resorts are in VT (Magic, MRG, Jay) and ME (Loaf and Saddleback).

I like Whiteface, but it's way far and it's a resort, not a state.

DMC: You need to get to the Loaf with a side trip to Saddleback. Definite must!

I voted for Rhode Island. Unfortunatley, Alabama isn't an option.
