Bretton Woods - 1/11/2007

Date Skied: 1/11/2007

Resort or Ski Area: Bretton WOods

Conditions: PP and FRGR

Trip Report: Skied pretty much everything that was open, except Bode's Run. It was a mix of man-made powder (where they had guns on in the AM), packed powder on some trails, and a combination of packed powder and granular on other trails (plus a few sections.. notably on saywers'.. of ice cubes). Skied 'til 2, and while some areas were scraped off by then, it was still pretty good. Never a wait for the lift all day.

They were making alot of snow all day on Fabyan's. That surprised me since it's been open since before Christmas and seemed to have a base. They were setting up McIntires in the afternoon. I hope they can get West Mtn open soon. That would add a little variety to the wide green cruisers.

Seemed interesting they were building so much base on Fabs. I would have thought they would be pumping snow out at more places arount the mt, but they seemed very focused on a few trails. Like 30-40 guns running all at once on one trail.
Interesting, since t-w-th are all 2 for 1 days. I musta just hit a very large college group on Wednesday. Did you notice if they cat's got over to skier's right and smashed the death cookies yet?
