| Bretton Woods, NH -- 1/25/2007 Date(s) Skied: 1/25/2007 Resort or Ski Area: Bretton Woods, NH Conditions: Mostly PP Trip Report: It was cold. Very cold. Drove up at 8:30 and the car told me it was -11. I think I came in about every 1/2 hour or so, for either cold toes, fingers or nose. The slopes as a result were empty. On some trails, you could still see huge chucks of corduroy in the afternoon. West Mtn, had opened since I was there last, too bad about the cold, since it makes traversing over and back for a few runs less appealing. For the most part, the trails were groomed packed powder, though deception bowl was pure hardpack and water tank was a frozen granular mix. Ventured into some thin cover once. Not my cup of tea, but the snow seemed ok, but a bit too thin for me Making snow on Waumbek, best I could tell. |
