Wink Magic VT, Thursday 2/15/07

Date(s) Skied: 2/15/07

Resort or Ski Area: Magic Ski Resort, VT

Conditions: Mahvallous!

Trip Report:

Magic is charmed. Arrived at Mt. Snow at 9, everything was on windhold except Carinthia.
Staff indicated lhold would likely last all day.
Pointed the 4 wheels to Magic. Great choice.
Little if no wind at all
While they said most everything was open,
there were several trails that were not including Master Magician. Way too many rocks.

The powder was sweet. About a foot of it, entirley ungroomed except for a couple of greens.
Remainder was ungroomed. About a foot deep in most places. Lots of moguls formed during the day,
some pretty formidable stuff on Talisman (Upper and Lower) and Trick, my favorites of the day. Great snow, you could really work it.

Uncrowded. wish the ski shop was open so I could've gotten my pin...
$25 day worth every cent.

With this much powder, evern the blues were a lot of work. Kinderspeil and Showoff were great for working on powder form,
Much to my suprise. We got a lot of practice.
It shoudl be really interesting to see how much of this stuff they groom tonight.

We really, really enjoyed ourselves. Everyone is right - Magic is best taken after a significant snowfall.

Sounds like a great day. I was supposed to go there today but couldn't get off from work based on my workload. I will hit Magic on Saturday. Hopefully, there will still be some soft snow left (I know probably not much but I can hope). Did you venture into the woods at all?
