| Belleayre: 2/25/2007 Belleayre Mountain, February 25, 2007: Introduction: Slept in this morning, got up around 10:30 for my first ever day of skiing. Weapon of Choice: Rentals from Jimmy's [Blizzard 150 skis, Dalbello Boots]. Conditions: It was my first time ever on skis, so I was on the green bunny trails for a couple of runs. Iroquois, Huron, Mohican- all the green trails were packed powder, not bad. No lesson, but I was turning easily by my second run, only fell a few times. Got up the nerve to hit Superchief, but on the way down I fell. Not a total yard sale but one ski came off and somehow hit me in the knee which hurt like all hell. Got myself together and got on the lift. Met up with a snowboarding buddy after my first run on Onondaga, a little slick but not too bad. I wasn't falling at all towards the end of the morning. Lunch, then hit up Onondaga, then Lift 7, where my friend hit the park and I went over to Tomahawk. Mid station run down Seneca, then mid station again to cut back over to Lift 7. Met up with some other friends, took a run down Roaring Brook, but they wanted to cut over to Cathedral Brook and I didn't, so we went our separate ways. RB was icy in some spots, scraped in others, but the snow was decent on the sides. My turning got better as the day went on, I completely skipped the "pizza" stage of skiing altogether. Took a run down Onondaga by myself, to Horseshoe pass, then did the same run again. Met up with some other friends and hit Onondaga > Tongora. Lower Tongora was nice and powdery, great last run of the day. I really got decent at skiing (probably not by anyone else's standards Weather: Not too cold, probably in the upper 20s and cloudy most of the day. Lifts: Chief had some 5-10 minute waits before lunch, but it quieted down. Lift 7 had a small wait, but none on the terrain park side of it, and Tomahawk had a 4-5 chair wait max the few times I hit it. Notes: Skiing is a lot more fun that I thought it would be, easy to pick up too. Rating: 7/10 Conclusion: Not cold at all, OK conditions.

| Looked for you while at Plattekill, said you where at Bell. Spent monday at Bell on all the bump runs. Both places in great shape. I'll be skipping Hunter until it softens up a bit so I'll be hitting Bell and Platt Sunday and Monday's for now.

| Huh? I'm confused... haha I usually am at Plattekill on Saturdays instructing (some of the day at least), and Bell on Sundays. Sorry Mark I had to leave early on Saturday couldn't stick around and take some runs.

| I guess it warmed up. I skied last friday ago when they got 4 inches over a very hard base. The wind was howling and blowing it all into the trees. Can't imagine what all this rain will do to it now.
