Stowe Pics from Deep Sunday

Wow. What a two week stretch. Ending yesterday, I had skied 9 of the past
12 days and had put just about everything on hold except skiing throughout
that time. Its going to be a little while to recount all the adventures.
The last week with the skivt-l crew taking over the Stone Hut was amazing
and spent a lot of good time skiing with a lot of good people. This morning
I've been feeling a little sad knowing I won't be going to the mtn today,
and with work piling up, not sure if I'll be able to ski more than a day
this week before heading to Colorado on Saturday.

Anyway, here are a few pictures from yesterday with hopefully some more
stuff coming this evening. I fell asleep at like 8pm yesterday and was just
completely exhausted in the best kind of way. It was deep out there.

The snowpack even as you get lower down the mtn is getting to be quite
substantial. This is my estimate of about 2,500ft.

And it just pounded all day long.

When I used to go to Stowe with my parents in the lates 60s and early 70s, we used to stay at the Toll House. We did a lot of t-bar runs on the slopes right out back (we also stayed at the Mountain Road Motel a few times, it was red).

Fun times.

I'm bummed I missed Monday. Too cold yesterday...don't care how good it is, -25F with wind at the top hurts.

I heard Monday was probably the best ski day at Stowe since 2001.
