| Mt. Abram - 3/17/07 Date(s) Skied: March 17, 2007 Resort or Ski Area: Mt. Abram Conditions: Powder to Frozen Crust Trip Report: After the storm abated a bit Saturday we headed to Mt. Abram. Never been there so we were looking forward to skiing this mid sized mountain. We arrived in sleet, and as soon as we hit the lifts the Freezing Rain / Drizzle started which turned layered crust over everything. No good. Lots of falling when the tips break through the crust. It was too bad because we could tell the mountain would be a lot of fun for us. A nice sized mountain similar to Shawnee. But the conditions poor and they didn't even run the night skiing because of the poor conditions. I bet Sunday would have been much better with the groom. Oh Well. We will get back there again sometime.
