Spring conditions. Soft corn, soft piles, some bare spots. The Doctor said no skiing but I sat around the house all morning while my wife was skiing and about noon I decided that I was going if it killed me. I got there about 12:30 and hopped on the lift. The snow looked excellent. I got to the top and went down Parmalees to mid station. It was awesome! So nice to get out there in the soft spring snow. I stopped at mid station to take a break and my wife went by on the lift. She gave me a very dirty look. I waited for her there and took a tongue lashing from her. After that she calmed down and we skied for 5 runs. My back and left leg are very sore tonight but my mind is much better for having some spring skiing! I will go tomorrow for a few runs if I can walk in the morning. I have to ski tomorrow as it is the passholders banquet and it is at mid mountain! I have a catscan scheduled for next week to see what is going on. They think I have a disc problem. If they said it is ok to work, than why isn't it ok to ski?

Your a brave soul. Hope things work out for you. Think the same conditions will be at Attitash tomorrow.

Just got back from Shawnee. It was awesome again. Blue skies, soft snow, good company, and a good barbeque. Thanks Shawnee for a good season! The back and hip are feeling real good right now. I should have been skiing the last couple of weeks to exercise it I guess. It is the best it has felt since early March. I hope it continues!

They might reopen next sat if there is enough snow. It is going fast. They have the mountain rented for a couple of events this week. Good end of season moneymaker for them. Looks like they had a decent season business wise this year.
