Plenty-O-Snow and tons of bumps

The day got off to a scratchy start as I semi-ignored my rule of thumb not to arrive early and started skiiing around 9am. Foggy at the top with some very light mist/frozen mist/snow. Groomers started off on the softer side of frozen granular and the bumps were fairly stiff & crudy - especially up high. OK conditions but kind of dissapointing.

Fast forward a couple of hours and the lower bump runs were in epic hero condition and the groomers were ideal. IIRC, Winnisook (sp? - the main upper mogul trail besides Yahoo) was still crunched up around Noon and I didn't get a chance to try it again. Upper Yahoo seemed to be softening nicely when I hit it a little after 1:00 as was the trail next to it.

Snow seemed to be holding up amazingly well all things considered. Not many bare spots and only a couple of trail closings from what I could see - never made it to the right side of the mountain. The sun was contained behind the clouds until we left a little before 2:00 and the car thermo said 38*.
