Well, we're almost through June and with the historically two slowest months for this forum are almost past us (May and June), it sure looks like the activity is starting to pick up here. Some pretty interesting topics getting started lately. Thanks for the creative thread ideas! Keep 'em coming.

After ski season I seem to go through a period of largely ignoring skiing. But then my interest starts to fire back up. And my wife really has the ski bug. We've already started talking about where we might want to go next year. It's not that I don't like summer. I love to play golf, I do a little biking and would like to do more.

I've managed to keep myself busy with the boats and the car but can't wait for ski season to begin. Nothing else compares, not even close.

If June 21st was the longest day of the year does that now mean we are headed towards winter instead of away?

OK,maybe it's me but I think some of you need to have other interests for the off seasons.I live in NE because of the seasons.Right now I'm pumped to be on the lake every chance.Don't get me wrong,Skiing is by far my biggest passion but get out there and find other things that can be lots of fun.If your really jonesing that bad there is still plenty of snow on Washington so get up there and ski instead of talking about next year.The mountain will have snow on it soon enough.Flame on!

I think that most of the folks here are the active type and have plenty of stuff they like to do all year round. However having something that drives your passion as strongly as skiing does for me is a good thing. Actually having something healthy that you can do that gives you such all encompassing pleasure is a rare commodity and I for one am glad I have it. I must admit that I do enjoy mountain biking, kayaking and roller blading in the “off” season. Just because while I’m biking I’m wondering whether the trail would be suitable for backcountry skiing and when I’m kayaking I’m looking at the mountains along the shoreline trying to pick out ski able lines or when I’m roller blading down hill I’m practicing my carving technique doesn’t mean I’m obsessed . It means I, like many other people here, am very lucky.
