As for Killington, if it makes my top five it is 5th. Whiteface and Killington are 5th and 6th. I think Whiteface is better when enough is open, but I think Killington is more likely to have a variety and reasonable quantity of terrain open on any given day. While I don't see why anyone would put it first, I think it has enough strong points to make some people's top 5. (Though I will admit that if I were to ski Sugarloaf and Smuggs, I wouldn't be surprised if one or both knocked Killington down on my list.)

Heck I am probably wrong. I would say that this board is a little MRG bias. Smuggs would not make the top 5 for the same reason MRG does not. terrain is the most important aspect when it comes to skiing. snowmaking and lifts also play a role. You can not be on it without the terrain. You are left off without the lifts and snowmaking. .

I like the aspects you pointed out. You left out that it takes 69 minutes to get on the single then another 69 to get on the hill. That I can not tolerate. The natural snow is perfect but I like a ski season longer than three months. Oh BTW we dont have crowded trail over here. Thats not entirely true there a few blue squares that get congested. Never a black diamond. The only time you will ever see a line is between 9:30 and 11:30 on the ghondola. No other lifts. Well thats not true either but I dont use the blue square trail lift. Anyone who skiis over here chime in if I am wrong
