Great now all they have to do is some kind of hook up w/ the Gore, Whiteface people and create one of the most enticing passes on the east coast.

That's been a subject here before, but there seems to be no interest in making it happen between ORDA and the DEC.

Wow, real competition for Hunter and Windham. That hookup with Highmount is great.

I like Belleayre a lot, It's the closest larger ski area to northern NJ, about 1:45 from my house. It has some good steep blacks from the top but they are short and then shallow out and become blues about 1/3 of the way down. It's not nearly as crowded as the other Catskill areas on weekends and the ticket prices are very good for the size of the mountain, and one Friday a month they have $15.00 lift tickets. Plus if the weather permits they will have a long season, they are state owned and operated so I think they have a larger than average snowmaking budget. I could go on but I'll stop. I highly recommend the mountain.

Windham is much better. Especially on weekends.

Oh yeah, you're right Windham is better, Belleayre isn't worth the trip.
