... Freeze Warning In Effect From Midnight Wednesday To 8 AM EDT Wednesday...

The National Weather Service In Albany NY Has Issued A Freeze Warning For All Of Eastern New York And Adjacent Western New England.

The Combination Of Mainly Clear Skies... Light Winds And The Coldest Air Mass Of The Season... Will Likely Bring An End To The Growing Season Across Most If Not All Of Eastern New York And Adjacent Western New England Tonight As A Hard Freeze Occurs. Temperatures Will Drop Quickly After Sunset With Some Areas Dropping To The Freezing Mark Around Midnight. Temperatures Late Tonight Are Expected To Bottom Out In Most Areas Between 25 And 32 Degrees. With Many Locations Experiencing At Least Several Hours Of At Or Below Freezing Temperatures... Any Unprotected Vegetation That Is Susceptible To These Conditions Will Likely Be Killed.

A Freeze Warning Is Issued When Freezing Temperatures Are Forecast To Threaten Outdoor Plants. Those With Agricultural Interests In The Warned Area Are Advised To Harvest Or Protect Tender Vegetation. Also, Potted Plants Normally Left Outdoors Should Be Covered Or Brought Inside Away From The Cold.

As much as I want the snow to be here, I'm trying to hold out on turning the furnace back on as long as possible... Looks like we'll have to pull out the down comforter soon!
