Sox Victory Parade - 10/30/2004

Check out these pictures. Brother Tom works right off Boylston Street in Boston and scored us a spot on a 2nd-floor balcony yesterday overlooking the parade route. If there was a better spot to watch the parade, I'd like to see it. It was over way too quickly (5-6 minutes max), but the players seemed to be enjoying themselves almost as much as the crowd. Every time a new Duck Boat came up, the crowd would go completely nuts as soon as they recognized the next set of Sox players. Schilling got the biggest ovation by far......

They won, they won, they won, they won, they won, they won, they won!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still can't believe it......

I heard some thug threw a ball at Pedro's head later that morning.

Pedro did get bonked on the forehead by a baseball that someone threw from the shore of the Charles River. It doesn't appear as though it was anything malicious -- just something stupid. The cops are guessing someone was tossing a baseball in hopes of getting it signed. My guess is it was an overzealous fan or a drunken one or both.

Thankfully, Pedro is OK. He had a bit of a headache, but that's it.

Interesting that you mention that since the news this morning slanted it to seem as if it was thrown in anger. Thanks for the clarification!
