This is my first presidential vote!

No thanks needed--just trying to help out.

Voting in a few minutes. I'm compelled to vote I have to cancel my sister’s vote for the Greens. Yippee, wife just said she'll help canceled my sister’s vote and add one against them.

I volunteered for the GOP Get Out The Vote projectr... I was a poll checker in the most liberal county in the state.

Needless to say I felt battered after seeing the numbers come in in that ward. But I went home and got a view of the overall picture and felt a little better.

GOnna be a looooooong night.

• If someone harasses you, don't cause a ruckus. Just ignore the harasser, report it to a poll worker, and let the voting process continue. What kinds of things might somebody try? Well, in the past people have insisted on more ID than is required or argued that someone is at the wrong polling place.
Yesterday a lady sticks a sign, "It is time to transplant a Bush", in front of me as I walked on the sidewalk to enter the place where I needed to vote. Fortunatley for her she moved it away from my face quickly.

Well, Kerry took Connecticut. No surprise there, but I was happy to see that my Bush vote was with the majority in my town - 61% Bush, 37% Kerry!

My wife and I did our civic duty yesterday at 3:30 in the basement of the town hall. Although I knew Bush didn't have a prayer in Massachusetts, I was glad I went and voted - The town had a Prop 2 1/2 exclusion on the ballot that I wasn't aware of. I guess it does pay to play!
