Question re: Marmot Fleeces

I found a good deal on a Marmot fleece that I've been looking for, that seems to be out of stock in all the local outdoor stores. The size I would normally get from any other outfitter like TNF or Patagonia would be L. But on this one site, they only have XL for Marmot fleeces. But I seem to feel that Marmot runs alittle small anyway since they are more "fitted" right? ALso, couldn't I throw the XL fleece in the wash and dryer and get it to shrink alittle? Thoughts?
Thanks

I do not own any Marmot products, but if it is fleece such as Polartec it does not shrink in the wash. Fleece is made out of Polyester (man made fiber).

Fleece doesn't shrink...unless you cut the sleeves.

Marmot sizes run pretty true. If you're normally a L, then you're most likely a L in Marmot.

Take it from someone who has a tendency to buy things that are great deals...they're not great deals if they don't fit. I have a hadnful of "useless" items at home.
