I was also at the meeting with the new MM at Cannon on Saturday.I really like his enthusiatic attitude, however. As a 33 consecutive year passholder,I have seen and heard it before many times over. One can have all the want in the world to change things but their hands are still tied by the state DRED.Like any government entity, change is painfully slow when the incentive is low.Having said that,I liked what I heard from John and would be happy to see some positive things happen. This weekend though has showed that so far it is business as usual.Nowhere on the new website(which is worse that the old one so far) could I find out that they had a full day of things planned for Saturday.I showed up to get my pass and saw a sign on the wall that we have a presentation at 11 and 1 from the MM.The Peabody base area had food out most of the day,the detach quad was running to give free roundtrip rides, their fleet of snowcats(along with a new one) were lined up outside, and that evening a band played at the peabody base lodge. This was all great but how was anyone suppossed to know this was going on?There were very few people that night for the band.Too bad, they were very good.I found it kind of ironic that DeVivo talked about making a big push at marketing and right off the bat I couldn't find out about this weekends events.I was excited to hear the snowguns going when I arrived at my house in Mittersill Friday night and pretty disapointed to find there were about 4 fanguns at the base only and they were shut off all day Saturday and Sunday.Very little snow made.
Yup,as usual I will take the wait and see approach.

It will be interesting to see what develops with Mitt over the next year or two. I agree with those who mentioned it's not exactly the best kept secret. The map appears to have a boundary line between Cannon and Mitt, but I looked pretty quick. The management does seem to be approaching it as a possible expansion.
