I wasn't expecting much going in. It was more the novelty of a Woodbury opening that drew me in. I'm sure the surface will be a bit better Snow on Monday.

I just hope channel 3 news didn't get your wipeout on film. That almost happened to me years ago at Wachusetts. As I skied by a news crew I caught an edge. I didn't go down but it wasn't what you would call graceful. When I got home I watched the news but luckily I wasn't on it.

My in-laws said they saw a guy in a red jacket which I was wearing. So according to them my crash didn't make the news. Maybe next year?

Tough to call it a day. I might count it as .02 since it was only two crappy runs. That or at least an asterisk.

Looking at their website cam I see that snowmaking has resumed tonight and it must be cold down south as it's 30F here in northern CT. I saw the cannon in place earlier this week in preperation for snowmaking, but I honestly could not justify a 50 + mile drive with such high gas prices for a small patch of snow and a rope tow.

I did this with Warren on November 9th, 2003 and that is still his earliest skiing to date.

I stopped by Woodbury today to show my kids the snow. They actually made a decent amount:
