| Gray Maine NWS Forecast Discussion - SNOW! From the 10AM discussion: .LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/... LOW PRESSURE PULLS AWAY TO THE NORTH ON FRIDAY AS COLDER AIR POURS INTO THE REGION ON GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS. EXPECT A BRIEF PERIOD OF SNOW SHOWERS DOWNWIND OF THE MOUNTAINS BEFORE PRECIPITATION TAPERS OFF IN THE LATE MORNING. LITTLE IF ANY ACCUMULATION EXPECTED AT THIS TIME. IN THE MOUNTAINS SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE BY MORNING WITH ANOTHER 2 TO 4 INCHES LIKELY DURING THE DAY AS UPSLOPE GETS GOING. WILL LET DAY SHIFT EXAMINE NEXT MODEL RUN AND DECIDE IF ADVISORIES ARE NEEDED FOR A MOSTLY 3RD PERIOD EVENT. |
