Belleayre Mountain, November 17, 2007:

Introduction: Opening day up at Belleayre! Got up there at around 10... first tracks were long gone but the bottom of Onteora was in good shape.

Weapon of Choice: Endeavor Colour 156 (I LOVE THIS BOARD)... first day with this thing, great response, tons of pop, and flexy as hell straight out the box.

Conditions: Some boilerplate in a spot, but for the most part Onteora was in great shape for opening day. Tons of fresh snow, all manmade it seemed like but there had to be some natural in there, otherwise I'm sure it would have all been ice. Held up surprisingly well throughout the day, still some fresh on the sides at last run.

Weather: Nice, 30's I imagine, sunny.

Lifts: No lines really.

Notes: There was a box and a kicker on lower Wanatuska, really icy landings and the drop line was pretty long so I only hit it once or twice. There's a nice hit near the bottom of Onteora and a tree bonk on the right side for anyone heading up tomorrow.

Rating: 6/10

Conclusion: Damn, snowboarding again feels GOOD.

I'm probably going to be at Belleayre tomorrow just to tool around a bit.

I need to see Keith at The Pro for a few things so I may as well ski too.

Was thinking of K but I'm not motivated for the 5am wake up call.
