Belleayre Mountain, December 1, 2007:

Introduction: [My 420th post... haha] Hit the hill at around 11, most crowded I have seen it this year.

Weapon of Choice: Endeavor Colour 156

Conditions: Good to finally have more than one trail open. Lift 7 and Superchief were running, as was Lift 1/2 on the lower mountain. Open trails were Onteora and Wanatuska top to bottom, Mohawk, Ashokan, and a few on the lower mountain too. Really good conditions, didn't get icy until around 2 or 3. Rail park was in good shape once again, and there were some nice hits on the sides of the trails from midstation down. You could piece together a few turns in the woods if you found a decent line, and there was a bunch of powder on the right side of Upper Wanatuska (although you could see some grass it rode really nice). Hit Superchief all day, then took a lunch break and got some... inspiration in my friend's car. We were all feeling pretty good and the conditions were still great after lunch. Hit up 7 once at the end of the day, around 3:50, I was the only one on the lift and had Onteora all to myself for last run.

Weather: Cold, windy, clear.

Lifts: Nothing more than a 2 minute wait, most of the time it was ride-on.

Notes: Belleayre is blowing snow of some lower mountain trails and Roaring Brook. Conditions are looking good for tomorrow with them blowing snow on some trails that are already open to get a better surface on them.

Rating: 8/10

Conclusion: Really liked more terrain, good conditions too.
