Crotched Mountain 12/2/2007

Date(s) Skied: Dec 2, 2007

Resort or Ski Area: Crotched Mountain, NH

Conditions: thoroughly groomed manmade, occasional firm patches or loose granular but mostly PP.

Trip Report: Fun trip with the boys today. Crotched sure has made a lot of snow. Numerous guns were going when we first got there but they shut them down by around 10 a.m. They opened Pluto's Plunge and the lower part of the terrain park at noontime, which made for four distinct ways from top to bottom. Not crowded at all with two lifts running. We got 11 runs in, enough that the legs feel it.

Two of the top-to-bottom runs, though at the time of this photo Pluto's Plunge (to the right in the photo) wasn't open yet -- you can barely see a cat near the top)

I was there too today .. I had no problem setting my edges. One time I got off the lift at the summit and I saw a Dad trying to untangle 2 young boys. Was that you?

just looked at their webcam - it's 5PM on Monday - the hill has a lot of traffic. good for them for opening and blowing so much snow.
