| Mount Snow Sunday Dec 12 2004 Date(s) Skied: 12/12/04 Resort or Ski Area: Mount Snow Conditions: Man-made snow and ice Trip Report: Only 16 trails were open, so the main mountain was pretty packed. Most of the blues and greens we saw had decent enough snow on the flats, but any bit with any pitch was wind-swept ice. Basic method involved sliding across the ice to get to a patch of soft snow, turn like you're skiing bumps, and slide back across. The North Face was much less crowded, probably because it was even icier. Overall, pretty much what you'd expect from early season skiing. Sure would like some snow one of these days. |
