Okemo 1/19 - 1/21

Date(s) Skied: Saturday 1/19 - Monday 1/21/08 (MLK)

Resort or Ski Area: Okemo, VT

Conditions: Overall good condition.

Trip Report:

SouthFace had the best condition. JacksonGore was OK. The front to base was also good. I thought Okemo had a great grooming team and my opinion does not change. The snow condition on the terrain felt machine-made. It did not feel 100% natural. The snow didn't grip the edges that well, but considering the BIG thaw only 1.5 weeks ago, I would have to say that the conditions were very good in general. There were some icy patches here and there, but not as much as I expected.

Overall very good condition. All they need is another big 24 inches storm

How were the crowds this weekend? I was toying with the idea of going to O on sunday but opted for Bromley instead to avoid what i figured to be a crowded weekend.
