| Nassahegan, CT: 8/14 | Ski Sundown - 1/24/2008 (night) Date(s) Skied: Thursday, 1/24/2008 , 6:30 pm - 10:10 pm Resort or Ski Area: Ski Sundown, New Hartford, CT Conditions: Firm bumps, on and off snow showers, temps near 20. Trip Report: Got started around 6:30 with the Legends today. Wanted to give them a go in the bumps tonight. Took one run on Nor'easter. Definitely some funky snowmaking whales starting to show up in there. Still some decent lines though. Mostly edgeable but slick backsides. Next run was Gunny as Upper NE was roped. Called Grassi and took my next run on Canyon to meet Chris. We did another run on Canyon and then NE reopened. Rest of the night was on Nor'easter. The Ex bumps are beat so I only hit those a few times and opted to take some little hits near the Pole Cats in the middle of Ex instead. I wasn't feeling it with the Legends tonight so I swapped them out for the Cabrawlers before too long. I was in a funk to start tonight, but I kept plugging away at it and eventually broke out of it. Still didn't ski that well all night. The bumps were firm and challenging. Actually had an incident where I was glad I wear a helmet as the back of my head struck the icy backside of a bump. Chris tweaked a knee at one point. He skied it off on Canyon the rest of the night. Hope it's feeling better. Met up with jonnypoach towards the end of the night as he was doing NASTAR on Gunny most of the night. All in all a decent night, but it was all about just logging miles tonight. |

| Sorry the night wasn't spectacular. But I'm sure it was still great to just be out on the hill. Chris, I hope your knee is okay!

| | Glad to hear you stuck with it, Greg. I had the same thing going on Wednesday night. Was in a serious funk until about 8:30 and starting feeling much better. Ended up having a great time so I'm glad I didn't give into the mood.
