| Snowbird 2-08-08 Rolled in got and afternoon ticket - rushed out.. Have NO idea where I was - never bothered to get a trail map... I went through a cool tunnel that apparently just opened for the day and ended up at Mineral Basin.. immediately headed for the "Cliff Area" signs.. and was not disappointed.. Nice warmup drops 5 or 6 foot.. Chopped crud... Sections of untracked.. Got down to the bottom and the Mineral basin lift had like a 20 minute wait - INSANE! So I rode the Baldy chair and just keep riding these cool - not quite chutes but still very cool terrain... Met up with some guys on the Mineral B chair(after it mellowed out) and they showed my some cool shots.. Looking up to the left.. One was like a little sharp ridge I saw one guy go off it in cranked a nice 180 with indie grab and built up some speed and followed. Ridge took me straight up in the air but i had enough time to nose down with a solid indy grab just for steeze..(can't believe i said that)... Landed in some dense but untracked snow.. It was pretty sweet... It was sunny but cold(20f) so the snow is still nice...

I travel alot(every week) so I scored a first class ticket for free(sweet) using points. that helped defray the cost of the trip.. But then I had to buy goggles at the base... So my budget is blown now..

| If anyone is ever looking to stay at the Marriott in SLC, go to marriott.com and put in the letters mmp in the promotional code box. That is for employee rates or friends and family rates. You would be eligible for friends and family rates. Just send me a pm and I can send you the authorization form that you will need in the mail.
