Camera Snowbasin - Feb 16, 2008

Date(s) Skied: Feb 16, 2008

Resort or Ski Area: Snowbasin

Conditions: packed powder, powder, 30ish, overcast most of day

Trip Report: Utah Trip Day 1 - Landed in SLC @ 12:15 AM today, checked in to hotel around 1:30 AM. Kids exhausted, slept late.

9YO daughter decided today was not a good day to ski so Dad and 13YO son decided to hit Snowbasin. Much more crowded than i remember (2 years ago) but considering the holiday weekend it wasn't bad at all.

Base gondola was about 10 minute wait when we first got there. Strawberry gondola and various chairs were pretty much ski on.

What i find most appealing about places like SB is that we can stick to BLUES which my son is confident on and I can find fun in powder, soft bumps and trees on the sides of trails. I'm really not sure what trails we skied as the mountain is wide open and the trails, bowls and glades all kind of blend into each other.

Tomorrow we'll probably hit Powder Mountain.
