| Nassahegan, CT: 8/14 | Ski Sundown - 2/20/08 Date(s) Skied: Wednesday, 2/20/2008, 7:00 - 10:10 pm Resort or Ski Area: Ski Sundown, CT Conditions: LSGR over hardpack/ice. Calm, clear skies - lunar eclipse, temps near 20. Trip Report: Not an overly eventful night, but it felt so good to get out. Met up with Brian in the lot and headed right over to Sunnyside to get our steeze on. Grassi soon joined us. The small kicker on Sensation was pretty lame and the approach and landing were very icy. After a few runs, we went back to the main mountain. Skied all the major runs including Tom's. Nor'easter skied nicely - smooth groomed. Spent some time on Temptor which was recently groomed, but had many death cookies after a few runs - still edgeable. Took some time to take note of the pitch. It's going to make a sweet bump run. Chris split a bit before 9 pm. Brian and I skied till closing. The lunar eclipse provided some entertainment on the lift. The Ex bumps are pretty beat. Despite the lack of good bumps, I had a great night. Broke out the old AC3s which had a decent edge so no problem with the hard pack ice. Even got my carve on a bit tonight. I'll be psyched for new bumps starting tomorrow though... |

| 2 O'clock twister.....that's freakin' funny better than me, I'd probably be lucky to pull off a quarter til noon twister the idea of doing a bump comp again sounds so fun, been a long time and I know if I tried tomorrow, I would completley flail off the airs. That said, if I knew I was going to partake, I'd find the nearest terrain park and be dusting off the ole' daffys and back scratchers, preferably on a day it was pouring and no one was on the mount but me
