Just got back from a quick one and done on the ski hill here in Northfield. One hour door to door.
conditions....8-10, sunny, perfect temp for a tour. Lift line got a good bit of action yesterday so i cruised down skier's left trail off the top. Undulating terrain, old school trail that winds it's way down with some nice short woods shots if you cut the corners a bit....out into a huge open, low angle meadow, I flushed up a deer out of the birch sapplings that are slowly reclaiming this area, and chased him down to the edge of the last pitch, a good steep shot that had only 1 other track. 8 sweet, high speed powder turns and a little rag-dolling when I hooked some brush. Bueaty of a day out there. Off to work.
