Magic 2-29-08 (my take)

Date(s) Skied: February 29, 2008

Resort or Ski Area: MAGIC baby!

Conditions: POW, packed pow, and groomed soft stuff

Trip Report:

Well, well, well.. where to begin. I cut out of work at noon with 3 other co-workers to get a sampling of the goods before the weekend crowds descended. We were met with plenty of snow left on the main trails, and TONS more in our supersecret( and notso secret!) woods stashes.

We started off on Goniffs, cut into the woods and got some great fresh along with the schwack underneath. Hit Slide of Hans>lower wizard>to the woods>potter, then zipped back up again. We hit black line next, SHACK TO SHACK, and it was in mighty great shape! I was soooooo stoked to finally do it top to bottom, unfortunately we didn't hit it again, but that's ok, I'll hit it agian saturday and sunday! We continued to do a few more laps on various parts of the mountain, and finished up the day the way we started it, on Goniff's and in the woods. LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT TODAY!! Can't wait to step it up the rest of the weekend.

'twas a great day.. now its time for this insomniac to get to sleep (HA!) to regen before 5am to tear it up all over again!

The Redline pic is awesome! Nice photos... I haven't been to Magic so reading the reports can be kind of blah-blah-blah not knowing what anything is. It's nice to have a visual to go with the report.

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever. ~ Lance Armstrong
