Magic: 3/1 (best day ever) & 3/2

Date(s) Skied: March 1 & 2, 2008

Resort or Ski Area: Magic

Conditions: POWDER, lots of it!

Trip Report:
This was the best day of skiing in my life! Using myself and my ski pole to measure I had it at 20-22 inches of super light powder on the trails and 32-36 in the woods. We arrived at 7:30ish and had about 8th chair up, nothing was groomed. We had 1st tracks down Witches and it was sick, so light and soft! I'm 6 ft and the snow was up to my knees in the less deep spots. Woots, woo-hoos and all sorts of happy shouting was being yelled out by everyone! We did run after run, evrey trail was great, the glades were insane, and the powder was beyond awesome!

We did a lunch break in under 15 minutes and skied until 4pm, I'd guess 25-30 runs. Hanging out at the lodge bar a friend of a friend over heard us talking about what we should do tonight and where/if to ski tomorrow(Sunday) and they offered us to stay at their place...which was all of a 5 minute walk away.

Another 4 inches of snow fell Sat. night and conditions we still awesome today, oh yeah plus it was a blue bird day. what else, did I mention the longest lift line wait all w/e was 2 minutes and the average wait around 10 seconds? ok, well I'm spent so you'll have to check the rushed pics from my crappy camera

I think he now understands why I replied 'duh Magic' when he posed the question.

So, one of my roomates sends me this link. I busted out laughing. When I told you to go to Magic over Flatton or Mt. Snow, I had no idea you'd be sleeping on my couch Saturday night. I had no idea until I saw the pictures. Nice pix. I'm glad you had fun. Who didn't?!

And thanks for the Petron & wine for the house.
