| Sugarbush 3/1/08 Conditions: Trails: Soft loose snow, some icy/hard pack underneath in places; Woods: Soft, loose snow, better than trails. Overall a great day. Did a few runs off Castlerock skiing various woods routes for the top 2/3rds or so and the trails the rest of the way. Then did Slidebrook -- very nice snow in there, although we did one of the main routes so it was tracked out. By the time we made it up to Heaven's Gate in the hope of doing some woods off Paradise, it ended up being after 3pm, so Paradise was closed, and it was getting too late to venture off trail anyways. I've never managed to spend that much of a day without heading up to the top. Here's a pic of some of the woods off Rumble. Not the greatest pic since the part that I actually skied down is barely visible (or perhaps not visible) -- it is to the left of what is shown.
