| Berkshire East, MA - Saturday, March 8, 2008 Rainy day skiing! A little known secret amongst skiers is that skiing in the rain offers amongst the best conditions if you can stay dry. With the anticipated bad weather, tickets were $20, good till downpour or thunder. My time on the slopes was cut short due to a downpour (and then the mountain closed early when a thunder storm moved in), nonetheless I was able to ski Grizzly, Minnie Dole, Competition (x2), Mohawk, upper Jug, Roy's Way, and Upper Competition. Great conditions, great snow coverage, no lift lines to speak of. A lot of folks were wearing the latest in ski fashions - trash bags: ![]() Soft bumps forming on Grizzly: ![]() Last edited by threecy; Mar 11, 2008 at 9:50 AM. Reason: Added camera icon |
