| Date(s) Skied: 3/8/2008 Resort or Ski Area: Saddleback Conditions: Wet heavy mashed potato snow, rain, 30s Trip Report: We went to Saddleback for our first day ticket purchase in almost two years. It would have been a decent spring slush day if not for the rain that became constant by early afternoon. This was our first spring-like day this year, so it brought on some late season melancholy. Hopefully conditions will bounce back soon. I was reminded of how much cool terrain Saddleback has. The on-map signed glades are right up there with the Loaf's, and I love the Loaf's glades. Some of the best runs of the day were in Nightmare, Thrombosis, and Intimidator. Other fun runs were Muleskinner and Jane Craig. This was a fun day that would have been epic minus the rain. Oh well. |
