Poor home page performance

Is anyone else experiencing slow loading of the home page (and others outside of the forums)?

This seems to be a recurring issue lately. It's quickly becoming time for a new host...

I hate to admit that I rarely, visit the home page either. When I just checked it seemed pretty darn slow, not quite to the point that if I was a new visitor I would have gotten frustrated and went somewhere else

Yeah, the home page is dogging. Tried some of the other links, same thing.

I wish there was something specific that fixed the problem that I could point to, but there isn't. Even my host was baffled.
