| I've had few really short days this year due to boot issues too; it sucks, I know. My rule of thumb is at least as many hours on the slopes as in the car, but I think I've done that at Killington once out of 6-7 times this year after getting my new boots (Sundown was a little easier to reach that mark with.)
It's too bad you couldn't be happy with them before going out west, but better to be able to ski in big boots than to be forced to the sidelines with the new ones.
