Ski Deals Thread

A couple threads got me thinking about where some of the best places to look for inexpensive/close-out ski equipment.

These are the places I go regularly when shopping or just poking around:

Close-out and real bargains:
ebay of course
http://www.levelninesports.com/
http://www.evogear.com/outlet/default.aspx
http://sale.skis.com/
http://www.steepandcheap.com

Not really bargain shops, but I've found some good deals:
http://ski-depot.com/
http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/

Post any good links if you have them.

My Boss likes Al's Ski Barn. He does a lot of biz through them. When I was looking up the site to post here, I saw some reviews...looked positive from the abstracts.

Anyway: http://www.untracked.com/

I found the levelnine site earlier. I love their option of looking up boots by size. You check the size range...they list everything they've got in that size. Sure beats attempting to buy it only to find out they don't have it in your size!

I'd imagine that is pretty important to you. What size are your dogs? 17?

That's the site I was going to post, cheapest place I could find for bump skis and with a good selection; they had the Head, K2, Rossi, Dyna (RIP,) and Volkl when I was looking; just missing the Fisher and ID One, but those are hard to find in general.

HEH! Errahhh..14 I'm in a Dalbello with an MP of 31.5 (I think) now. But I noticed my heel lifting a bit this year while racing. Lange makes boots in the Fluid line up to 32. Rossi is putting out a new boot next year I'm waiting to see.

The female on our race team is tiny... 4'11". She's looking for 21.5 or size 3. Jr Race boots vary in stiffness. We make quite a team covering both ends of the spectrum.

I've checked them, but I always find something cheaper somewhere else. I'm also not looking for bump skis. I'll still check them out next time I'm shopping, you never know who will pop up with the best price on what you want.

I bought my new Roxy Joyriders through them for 50% off. Realized when I skied on them the other day that instead of a unique pair I got 2 of the same side (there are supposed to be different graphics on each ski). I contacted them about this and once we verified that my skis did in fact have 2 different serial #s, they sent me a prepaid mailing label to return them and they'll be sending out a matched pair in replacement. Even though I already skied on them!! So far, I have nothing but good things to say about sierrasnowboard.com!

Don't discount eBay for good deals, too. The seller snowdealsnow tends to have a lot of closeout items for great prices with excellent service (and fast shipping, too!). I purchased my Marie Martinod Dynastars from him earlier this season, and one of the members of theskidiva.com has had multiple transactions with him as well.

Good to hear that. I just ordered a pair of Watea 84 (184) yesterday. Deal was just to good to pass up @ $294 with free shipping.

They've got a bunch of sweet deals going on right now; including Dynastar Mythic Riders with Look PX12 Fluids for $383 (free shipping).

sierrasnowboard.com is where its at. I ordered a new snowboard from them a month ago...50% off, no tax, no shipping, at my doorstep 8 days later. Even a month later, all other places are still asking $150 more at their ON SALE price.
