Writers sought for ski/snowboard articles

TopiaRoad.com is a new online eZine devoted to promoting skiing and snowboarding. Writers are sought for articles. Subject matter can be pretty broad.

I'm sure some of you have a good personal interest story or tech article you'd like to share. Please get in touch with me.

Here are some the types of articles we’re looking for (We’re always open to suggestions too) -

* How to articles, e.g. how to wax a snowboard, how to tune a board
* Articles on destinations, trips etc
* Reviews and tests of products
* Articles on techniques
* Beginners guide articles

Ideally we’re looking for articles that are not published elsewhere, but we will consider articles them. It’s up to you to be aware of the copyright terms.

What’s in it for you? Each article will include a short bio and a link to the site of your choice (obviously including AlpineZone.com).

To submit an article or an idea for one, just send a message to me, Pat Moore, the Skiing & Snowboarding Editor, at pmoore@snet.net

Oops

Oops! Just realized that the original email I had used for contacting me hadn't been set up yet. If you tried to reach me, please use pmoore@snet.net

Considering the thousands of posts some of you have submitted, you must have several stories in the backs of your minds. Jot 'em down and share them.

Pat

Got it. Thanks! Just sent you a reply. You have a real talent for writing and we'd love to give it more exposure in the e-world.

We've had another response too so AZers' contributions will be appearing in TopiaRoad.com in the very new future.

Would anyone else like to be a "published" author?

Snowboarders - How about sharing your experience of your first days on a board? You could provide some insight to others thinking of crossing over to the "dark side".

Active travelers - how about providing tips? Have you ever shipped your skis to your destination instead of checking them with your baggage? Have you discovered any affordable European ski destinations (like Slovenia)?

Wax and tune gurus - Jot down your thoughts on summer prep and storage for your skis/boards.

Pat Moore

I'd like to thank Clark and Jerry for being the first AZers to submit articles to TopiaRoad.com

Check out their articles.

With the season winding down perhaps some of you have the time to jot down a few words. The scope of topics is very broad - instruction thoughts, gear reviews, the ski trip of a lifetime, or something completely different. Let the creative juices flow!

Contact me, Pat Moore, with your stories.

Nice articles! I'm actually thinking about picking up some part-time work at the local hill this winter. Was thinking about working the the shop, but maybe instructing would be good. Certainly get me out on the snow more than the shop.
