This Saturday at Sugarbush

Absolutely! It is the last weekend in April. If you have rock skis . . . When would be a better time to use them? Oh yeah... They're all rock skis....

Anothe reason for the shirts is that huge "King Of Spring" banner they had at BMMC...

I gotta disagree with this point. I don't know what the basis of the claim would be for a class action lawsuit or the attorney general's office getting involved. Unless there's some requirement in their lease that they open &/or close on certain dates, Killington is free to run their operation as they see fit. Just because they traditionally were open from October to June doesn't mean they have a legal obligation to do so. They would have a customer relations issue on their hands (which we've seen) but not a legal issue.

If we're going to pin the blame on a certain group within the company for opening late & closing early, it would have to be the bean counters. Doesn't make financial sense to stay open into May/June.

Having said all that, I'm bummed their not open late as well.

Cool

As I was skiing along the Valley House Traverse, I saw a couple of them in front of me. Got this, from behind:

Then, as I caught up, I told him I wanted a pic of the front. He slowed down so I could get enough ahead to get this from the front:

Then, a little later, at the patio. . .

Talked with many of them as well as assorted ski bums from assorted other areas. All were very happy to find Sugarbush open. Later, Win sat down to talk with me, as I was taking my boots off. In a 5 minutes span, 6 or 7 people came up to say how grateful they were that we were open.

One last day, tomorrow . . . unless... ?

Awesome..The Killington Refugee shirts are great..

And in the corner of the picture of all the people..I catch a glimpse of the steezy skier sitting at the top of the steps..wow the base at Sugarbush is so much different than when I skied there in college..

As Geoff has said many times, Killington is training us to go elsewhere. We're just going to have a little fun with POWDR as we do.
Great weekend for sure. The vibe at the Bush was awsome!
Thanks for the shirts...

That's pretty impressive. And check out the chick giving Win (notice the t-shirt is backwards) that big smile!

It was a great day. This shirt must have struck a common thread with people as the whole thing kept growing legs all by itself. Many more photos can be seen here:
