To Hot to ski?

Do you ever find it being too Hot to ski? I'd imagine if it hit 80, I would not want to be skiing. I generally don't care for it to get above 80 no matter what I'm doing.

I guess I was just thinking about this the other day when it was about 70 and I was skiing. I kinda wished it was 10 degrees cooler. Not really complaining and definitely loving it, but was getting dehydrated much faster and sweating like crazy with just a t shirt and very light weight pants.

I would say 55-60 and sunny is my ideal spring skiing weather

The snow won't hold up long in those temps anyway. 60's is good for spring.

I think 80 degrees is too hot to ski...40-50 degrees is ideal spring skiing temperatures..I always ski with a helmet..and even with the vents open and the earflabs removed..I sweat ballz..and I don't like skiing in shorts..

Last weekend it was in the 70's on the hill. I was skiing in shorts and tee shirt. I was not sweating that bad. The snow would splash of your legs and cool you down. Don't fall it sctratches the heck out of you.

One thing about when it's really warm like 70-80 degrees is that the snow seems to be fast...It's weird the snow seems faster when its 70 degrees than when it's 50 degrees..I really don't know why..

Sunny at 45-50 degrees is perfect. Low humidity also keeps things nice. I like the days when the snow doesn't soften till about 11 and stays nice until 4, start out on groomers, head to the bumps at noon, and finish the day in the trees.

I was at Loon last Friday and did the shorts and t-shirt thing. It was easily 75F, maybe a bit warmer.

It was the best day of skiing for me, ever. Demo'd a pair of K2 Apache Recons and they were perfect for the day.

No Helmet and bald head meets snow at high speed.

This is what results....

No, it isn't me.
