In NH, it is for suicidal gapers that have failed at skiing bumps. They drive or hike up put on their skis and jump off the mountain.

2. All the talk is waiting for spring corn, but what are the realistic mid-winter powder possibilities?
It's possible to get powder days, however, in Tuckerman proper, generally speaking, when the surface is powder, the instability is likely high.

3. Many stick to just Tucks, but it appears that the Bretton side offers equally as good of terrain. Why is this part of the mountain less talked about / pursued?
The West side has some great possibilties. It's seeing more and more traffic. Due to the general weather pattern, the East side of the range holds more snow.

3. Any good resource recommendations for the Bretton side trails? I really enjoy dmc's tux map and think it would be cool to see something similar for the west side of the mountain.
There's a huge debate on T4T about "disclosing" "Secret" routes in TR's, etc.. Some visual scouting and a topo map can pretty much point you in the right directions. For safety's sake, not because I'm some sort of BC elitist, I'm in the "Show, don't tell" school.

4. What is the average hike time for you up both sides?
Being an OFF, It takes me a little more the 2 hours to the Base of the Bowl or to LOC.

5. Who'd be willing for me to tag along next winter for some Tux skiing?
I'm always looking for someone to go midweek.
