I'm a consumer, I buy a ticket to ski at a resort, I expect snow. That's all I care about, how they get it, how they make it, no concern of mine

Hunter has been a pretty heavy purchaser of fanguns as well, a lot of the main face, base area and learners area is covered with them. Interestingly, they (from what I've seen) appear to be run off of hill air, as opposed to the onboard compressors typically installed with them.

Loon does have tower-mountain SMI's but I would assume that those will be the last purchased for the mountain as Boyne has their won version of the SMI fan that will be installed at Loon.
