Wachusett Snow

I was driving out Route 2 yesterday and saw that there's still quite a bit of snow up on Wachusett. Considering the warm weather we've had, I find this absolutely amazing. Looks like 10th had two skiable patches on it, as did Smith.

Anyone up for some turns?

Drove by Pats Peak on Sunday. Not much left there but one stretch that seemed skiable. I'd never been there before. Smaller than I thought, but it has a nice pitch to it.

The upper part of pats does have nice pitch but it really has a lot of run out.

Heh! Long gone are my aspirations for turns. Mowed the lawn for the first time this year...ready to plant flowers (as soon as the temps warm *sheesh*)...and all the gear is stowed (temporarily, until I can load them up with summer wax on a nice warm day).

I'm looking forward to getting the kayak out....and the bike. As soon as I get a free non-mother's day, non-weekend, non-graduation, non-birthday weekend. *SHEESH!*
