As of right now, it sounds like its dead in the water largely due to APA.

Only in the context of the Olympics, '32 and '80. An interesting factoid is that LP has produced an olympian for every US winter team. They also mentioned that the reason there were 12,000 people in the 8000 capacity arena for the "Miracle" is that the door folks would ask if someone was rooting for the US or the USSR. They only let extra US fans in out of patriotism, lol.

I watched it last night and really enjoyed it. I was a nice combo of the history, geography and the people who live in the park.

GSS, your thoughts on Whiteface carry as much validity as my great grandmothers in Florida. In another thread you claimed the summit lift, actually went to the summit, something which anyone who has actually been there would know otherwise. If you were there and still believe this you never left kids kampus.

And its more like 2/3 the snowfall, to be fair.

Don't know if that's fair. What did the developer want to do? Put in like 150,000 units? The APA probably demanded reasonable concessions (yes, I have no idea, only speculating) and the economy took care of the rest.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the program. Trying to find out when it's being re-run.

Locally it was on last nite, and is rerunning MAy 28 and 31. Go to the site above, plug in your zipcode for local affiliates and type in Adirondacks for the search.

Well ya see Aride, GSS has been called on that several times by different people and he has no real answer. I asked him many times if he was at WF when he got off the Gondi would he be on the summit of Little WF. I mean if you’ve been there how could you not know? Same as with the Summit Quad, but he would not respond with a simple yes or no answer.

There are lots worse things a person can do besides saying they’ve skied a place they haven’t, but when you get caught you should own up.

He probably hasn’t been to Jackson Hole either.
