| Deadliest Catch VS Ice Road Truckers Ok for whatever reason these 2 shows have become must watches for me. I used to think the people getting on those boats in 20degrees with 40foot waves and almost getting killed were nuts, but right up there are these crazy truckers who last year drove on frozen lakes and this year drive on the frozen ocean, yes the ocean freezes. I think the warmest ive seen it was -24, usually its about 40below zero and these guys are hauling 30tons on crackling ice for 112 miles each way, absolutely nuts. I never thought i was be so fascinated to watch people just go about their everyday jobs but both these professions require being away from your families months at a time, and both are well nuts. I cant wait to check my tivo and watch them when i get home ever week. |

| Deadliest Catch. You can tell they have the bigger budget. The drama seems to be natural. Part of the job. In IRT it seems to be manufactured. Same with Ax Men. They're all produced by the same guy, Thom Beers, who also narrates, incidentally, IRT, AM, and that new show about oil drilling in Texas. I'd probably enjoy IRT more if they got Mike Rowe to narrate like they did for Deadliest Catch.

| I watched a couple episodes of IRT the other night and just couldn't get into it and have to agree with Marc that it seems "manufactured". Once you start getting too many knock-offs of a show, they seem to loose their appeal. |

| Yup, IRT is boring. Sure they're putting their lives at danger, but it's just truck driving. How many times can they show the same shot of the truck driving over the ice from underneath? There's also that one show about the New England lobster men. After watching Deadliest, it feels pretty lame. Oh no! The draggers moved my traps! The weather gets bad, they go home.

| Deadliest Catch is a must watch for me, I can't wait for 9pm tonight. I've watched IRT and Ax Men a few times each and I just haven't gotten into them. It only took me about two episodes of DC to get hooked on that.

| Deadliest Catch is a "Not much else on" watch for me. I watched a couple of epeisodes of IRT, and came away with teh manufactured feel, too. Same with Ax Men. Dirty Jobs, on the other hand, I'll watch over just about anything.

| I've only watched IRT a few times. It was okay, but I could see how it can get repetitive. I still love Deadliest Catch though. We have several episodes on the TiVo to catch up on. We just finished the King Crab season one last night. |

| Deadliest Catch is probably my favorite show with Dirty Jobs right now. After the first season of DC I thought, 'I can do that!' As each season goes by I'm not sure if I could that! Ice Road Truckers, yeah I agree it's not the same feeling and feels a bit manufactured. Even though this season has pulled me in a bit. When the History Channel repeats the latest episode during the week I always end up watching it. |
