| Separate Gear & Equipment Discussion Forums? Please participate in this poll. I think it might get confusing for those interested in skiing gear and not hiking gear, or vice versa to sift through the all the posts in one single forum. Does it make sense to split this out into separate skiing gear and hiking gear forums? |

| Both are pretty much synonymous for me...so I'd say keep it under the broad tent of "outdoor gear."

| Keeping it together is a good symbiotic relationship. During certain seasons it will lean more one way or the other. Otherwise the hiking forum will be quieter in the winter, while the skiing forum wil be dead in the summer. -Stephen |

| Just as there's minimal hiking discussion and almost no hiking trip reports right now, with tons of skiing discussion & reports, I think there would be little overlap.
