Stuff to do at night in the Jackson NH area?

Howdy,
Gonna be skiing and staying in the Jackson area (Eagle Mtn. House) later this week for a few nights and was looking for some local advice on eats/drinks etc...
Where I'm staying has a tavern but can't do that every night.
So far, my research points me towards the Shannon Door Pub in Jackson, Moat Mountain Smokehouse/Brewery in N. Conway and for a real cup of coffee, The Met? in N. Conway.

Any thoughts on these or others?
I'm traveling solo and just looking for a place to have a couple beers and dinner and maybe some live music on the weekend. Thanks

Welcome to the boards, Patricsaint. I look forward to seeing more of you in here.

From what I've heard, Horsefeathers in N. Conway is a cool place.

Try the red parker pub in Glen. They have awesome food, and bar. I don't know if they have any live entertainment though.

I just got back from N Conway a week ago. If you have kids Muddy Moose good place to eat. Red parka
Pub is good, opens around 4 I think. Many Beer choices some pub fare. That would be closer to Jackson would not have to drive into the center of town. Horse feathers is the more active place. Some bands and stuff like that. If you want a little more info Pm me.

The Mount Washington Valley will blow your socks off then. Beautiful scenery, shopping for the gals, and some great ski areas. Nice place...always wanted to live there

Thankx for asking and honestly everyone has shown great concern and I apreciate it. Nice comminity thing. I think I'm getting better. I am going to my doctors at 2 today. I'm hoping he says I'm okay. He may send me on to a specailist and that could be unpleasant.
My plan is to take a 3 day weekend this weekend cause last weekend was not so fun. I see Terry beat me to the RED Parker Pub. Terry is from that area so go with the local's advice.

Echoing others sentiments...

The Red Parka Pub in Glen is a really fun place, it is split restaurant / pub. The pub has live entertainment weekends, starting Thurs. nights, I believe. In the restaurant they show old skiing films, mostly Warren Miller stuff. Fun to watch the dinner crowd react almost as much as the films themselves.

Moat Mountain is a brewery as well as smokehouse. The food (Ribs, Steaks, BBQ Chix, Pulled Pork etc...)is to DIE for. The beer, brewed right there, is damn fine as well. Also, MM sits right on the outskirt of the village, easier to get in and out of than Horsefeathers.

Other than that, you can sleep pretty peacefully up there!

Don't do Horsefeathers. Please. The most pompus place in the area. The place reeks of self-righteousness.

Do yourself a favor and check out the Red Parka, a true Apres bar, as is Delaney's. Shannon Door is solid as well as is the Moat.
